Trust and output notes

Use this quick checklist before replacing an important PDF.

What stays local

Your selected PDF is handled in this browser session. BQ PDF Tools does not add your document to the offline cache or upload it to an application server.

What this tool preserves

  • Changes are applied to a new PDF copy.
  • The page preview helps catch placement issues.
  • Warnings explain when signatures or hidden content may be affected.

What to check

Visible additions are not secure redaction or legally binding signatures. Review the result before sharing.

Practical examples

Example 1

Add page numbers before sending a report.

Example 2

Place a draft watermark before review.

Example 3

Clean common metadata before sharing a public copy.

How to batch process pdfs

Step 1

Choose two or more PDF files.

Step 2

Select one batch action and configure its shared settings.

Step 3

Run the queue, review per-file status, retry failures when needed, and download the results together as a ZIP.

What this tool does

Files are handled sequentially to reduce memory pressure. A damaged or unsupported PDF can be marked as failed while the remaining queue continues, and failed items can be retried without repeating successful files.

Privacy note: selected files are handled by JavaScript running on your device. The application does not intentionally transfer document contents to a BQ server. Browser extensions, managed-device policies, and the browser itself remain outside the site’s control.

Compatibility note: PDF is a complex format. Very large, encrypted, malformed, digitally signed, or unusually constructed files may not process correctly. Keep the original document until you have checked the result.

Frequently asked questions

Which actions are available?

The batch queue can remove common metadata, add page numbers, or add a text watermark while preserving the PDF page structure.

What happens when one PDF fails?

Continue after errors is enabled by default, so the queue marks that file as failed and continues with the remaining documents.

Are filenames or documents stored?

No. Files remain in temporary browser memory, and privacy-safe diagnostics exclude filenames and document contents.
