Trust and output notes

Use this quick checklist before replacing an important PDF.

What stays local

Your selected PDF is handled in this browser session. BQ PDF Tools does not add your document to the offline cache or upload it to an application server.

What this tool preserves

  • Reports are generated locally as previewable text or CSV.
  • The tool does not open extracted links or contact external services.
  • The selected document is only read inside this browser.

What to check

Reports describe what the browser PDF parser can read. Scanned pages, flattened links, or hidden structures may not be fully detected.

Practical examples

What this tool does

The inspector reads file size, page count, page dimensions, metadata, and the number of detected form fields.

Privacy note: selected files are handled by JavaScript running on your device. The application does not intentionally transfer document contents to a BQ server. Browser extensions, managed-device policies, and the browser itself remain outside the site’s control.

Compatibility note: PDF is a complex format. Very large, encrypted, malformed, digitally signed, or unusually constructed files may not process correctly. Keep the original document until you have checked the result.

Frequently asked questions

Does inspection change the PDF?

No. The tool only reads the selected file.

Can it reveal every internal PDF object?

No. It provides practical document-level information rather than a forensic object dump.

Why might some metadata be blank?

Many PDFs do not contain title, author, subject, or keyword metadata.
