Trust and output notes

Use this quick checklist before replacing an important PDF.

What stays local

Your selected PDF is handled in this browser session. BQ PDF Tools does not add your document to the offline cache or upload it to an application server.

What this tool preserves

  • Original page content is copied without screenshot conversion when possible.
  • The original file is never changed.
  • Page order and selection are visible before download.

What to check

Encrypted, damaged, very large, or unusually structured PDFs may fail. Keep the original until the output is checked.

Practical examples

Example 1

Fix a scan where page 3 appears before page 2.

Example 2

Remove blank pages before emailing a document.

Example 3

Extract only the signed pages from a larger packet.

How to split pdf

Step 1

Choose one PDF.

Step 2

Enter page groups separated by semicolons, or leave the field blank.

Step 3

Create the parts and download the files you need.

What this tool does

Enter semicolon-separated groups to create several output files, such as 1-3;4-7;8. Leave the field blank to create one PDF per page.

Privacy note: selected files are handled by JavaScript running on your device. The application does not intentionally transfer document contents to a BQ server. Browser extensions, managed-device policies, and the browser itself remain outside the site’s control.

Compatibility note: PDF is a complex format. Very large, encrypted, malformed, digitally signed, or unusually constructed files may not process correctly. Keep the original document until you have checked the result.

Frequently asked questions

What range format should I use?

Use commas inside a part and semicolons between output files. Example: 1-3,6;4-5;7.

What happens if I leave ranges blank?

The tool creates one PDF for each page.

Can ranges be descending?

Yes. A range such as 5-3 creates pages in the order 5, 4, 3.
