Selected PDF and image files
Files selected for a tool are processed locally by the browser during normal operation. The application is not designed to upload the document contents to a BQ server.
Accounts, analytics, and advertising
This initial release does not provide user accounts, third-party analytics, or advertising scripts.
Local preferences and offline cache
The site may store a light or dark theme preference in browser local storage. Supported browsers may also cache the site’s static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PDF libraries, icons, and manifest so the tools can open offline. The service worker does not cache PDF or image files selected from the device, generated results, clipboard contents, or file names.
The optional Favorites and Recent tools features store only tool identifiers in local browser storage. They do not store selected filenames, document contents, or generated files.
When a processing error occurs, the optional Copy diagnostics action creates a local text summary containing the tool identifier, browser information, file count, total byte size, device-memory signal, and visible error. It excludes filenames and document contents.
Within the current tab, the site may use session storage to restore non-text tool options such as page size, checkboxes, ranges, and quality settings after an accidental reload. Text fields, selected files, filenames, and document contents are excluded. Session storage is cleared when the tab is closed.
Optional accessibility preferences—including large text, high contrast, reduced motion, and dismissal of the welcome guide—may be stored in local browser storage.
Removing offline data
Uninstalling the app or clearing site data in the browser removes the static offline cache and local preferences, including the theme, favorites, and recent tools. Generated downloads remain wherever the user saved them.
Server logs
The hosting provider may process ordinary technical request data—such as IP address, browser headers, requested paths, and security events—to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from the PDF content processed in the browser.
Third-party software
The site bundles open-source PDF processing libraries into its own static assets. No document API request is required for the normal tool workflow.
